Lock/hide your installed applications.

The first time you run the application, it asks for new password. After this you can never change the password (the only way is deleting /home/user/.config/cepiperez/applocker.conf file).

AppLocker for Nokia N900 / Maemo 5

After setting the password, just select the applications you wish to hide from the list. They will disappear from the menu. To show an application again, just launch the program and untick that app on the list.

The way this program hides applications is very simple: it simply renames app.desktop to app.desktop1 in /usr/share/applications/hildon folder.

If you want to uninstall AppLocker remember to unhide all applications first!

Very useful for me. I could hide some icons like a few from Easy Debian and the useless Nokia icons [Rate: 7/10]

@ customer: Please see the orange "Download" text slightly above. It links to a page which explains how to enable the Extras-Devel repository through which the program is available... We don't provide direct download links to stuff in the Extras-Devel and -Testing repositories because they aren't meant for end users so we want people to read the warnings first and only then, consciously, enable these repositories on their devices by themselves. P.S. I don't think it is OK to give an application such a bad rating only because you don't know how to download it; it's not fair, don't you think?[No rate]
