Commodore Amiga 500 (1 MB) emulator, port of Amiga 500 emulator for Dreamcast console by Chui.
UAE4All is a "lite" Amiga emulator. It is based on E-UAE core and utilizes FAME for Motorola 68000 microprocessor emulation.
It emulates Commodore Amiga 500 hardware with 1 MB Chip RAM, OCS chipset and up to 4 floppy drives.
Unlike the other existing emulators, UAE and E-UAE, UAE4All does not provide emulation of processors higher than the 68000 (i.e. no A1200's 68020 or A4000's 68040) or extended chipsets (ECS or AGA). It *only* offers Amiga 500 hadware emulation.
However, unlike the remaining emulators, UAE4All provides EXCELLENT speed. It is capable to emulate the A500 at FULL SPEED, with sound on a Nokia N900.
The emulator comes without the Amiga Kickstart (ROM) image, so you need to get one yourself. It has to be stored in the MyDocs folder and named kick.rom. Make sure to get the right image (Kickstart 1.3 from the A500, 524288 bytes).
ADF floppy images are supported, also with gzip and 7zip compression.

Hmmm.... no one bothered to rate it so I have to do this. Fully deserved 10/10. I only hope there is some further development as all three available Amiga emulators currently have a problem with some resolutions (e.g. hires) in which the display is shifted and partially invisible. [Rate: 10/10] |
