VLC Remote allows you to control VLC on your desktop from your Nokia N900.
VLC is a powerful media player for Windows, Linux, OS X and other operating systems, playing most of the media codecs and video formats out there. It can handle DVDs, (S)VCDs, Audio CDs, web streams, TV cards and much more. You don't need to keep track of a dozen codec packs you need to have installed. VLC has all codecs built-in. It comes with support for nearly all codec there is.

How to configure VLC as a server ?
1- Allow connection by IP :
echo 192.168.1.104 >> /etc/vlc/http/.hosts
2- Start vlc as http server
vlc --extraintf http
OR
Start VLC -> Tool -> Preference -> (Parameter : All) -> Interface -> Main interferace -> And check Http

VLC is not statable in PC,sometimes rip. So the server version is not the good choice right now! Apps is OK, but who will build a server? And then who will use this remote??? [Rate: 3/10] |
