please, if possible, post your comments on the project's web page. for example, in https://garage.maemo.org/projects/simple-xmbc-rem/.
i've posted some message here before last week and it never made it, not sure why.
1. there is some documentation on the associated web site at http://simple-xmbc-rem.garage.maemo.org/
2. there is a known type - the name is xmbc, no xbmc. my bad, i know. i don't think there is much to do now.
3. the ESC, Context Menu and Gui show/hide are implemented in the latest version from GIT. I'll upload it extras-devel and extras-testing one of these days
4. i've just retested "ESC" and the "Context Menu" - they normally work. the problem is more with how XBMC responds to the external actions - sometimes there is a delay or the action is simply ignored. thus, if you see no feedback from XBMC, please try to repeat your action and see if it works the second time
5. to simplify the development, the app doesn't check the current state of XBMC - when you press a button, it simply sends a command over HTTP. for navigation, it actually sends 2 commands - a skip and a move command, so that it works both when you watch a movie or when you navigate a folder; this might explain some slow responses
based on time available and popularity of this small app, i'll might consider some more advanced control. for the start i wanted something that at least works :-) [No rate] |

Nice app! Could be a killer one for me! Using extras-testing for now.
Is it only me or is it not possible to navigate after pressing the "context menu"-button? Additionaly the "Esc"-button unfortunately does not work for me. Would like to see a "back"-button.
Nontheless, thank you very much! Cheers! [Rate: 7/10] |

The connection was refused when I was trying to connect to the ip. With context menu he means the small menu you can bring up with keypress on the letter c. In some cases Esc and Home act different, I'd prefer it if they both were there. [No rate] |

Thanx. My plan is to add a "Home" button, that takes you to the Home screen from XBMC. Do you need the ESC if you have the Home? What do you mean by Context Menu? The context menu from the XBMC? I agree with user and password - they would be usefull :-) [No rate] |

Very nice and useful App!
But it would be great to be able to define the user and password and also to have a Button for "ESC" and the Context Menu!
Great Work so far!
Thank you very much :) [Rate: 7/10] |
